Arsenal Sends Down Top Physio To Ghana With Thomas Partey

Thomas Partey

Thomas Teye Partey and Arsenal physiotherapist Simon Murphy have joined the Black Stars camp ahead of the doubleheader against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

This is viewed as a preventive move to protect the midfielder from injury since he has had several since joining the club.

Arsenal is at a crossroads in their season. Mikel Arteta's squad leads the Premier League and is a serious contender for the crown.

This season, Thomas Partey has been crucial for Arsenal, with his outstanding performances critical to the club's title hopes.

The 29-year-old landed at Ghana's camp on Tuesday, just in time for the critical AFCON qualifiers against Angola's Palancras Negras.

The Black Stars will face Angola in the first leg on Thursday, March 23, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with the return match planned for March 27 in Luanda.

Ghana is now tied for first place in Group E with four points after two games, after a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw with Central African Republic in June of last year.
