Robbery Gone Wrong As Police Grab Suspects While Fleeing Scene

On Saturday, January 28, police in the Western Region detained four people for attacking a fueling station and murdering a security officer in Wassa Agona.

Three of the suspects were apprehended while fleeing the scene on a motorcycle: Francis Ebuka, Wisdom Justway, and Samuel Chibuzor.

They aided police in their pursuit of Kingsley Okechuku, who was apprehended in a motel near Bogoso.

Upon receiving information about the robbery attack, police patrol units in the catchment area mobilised and headed to the spot, where the first three suspects were apprehended.

A search of them resulted in the discovery of a black hood, a handbag containing two mobile phones, and GHc 20,722.

The fourth suspect had an amount of GH 44,852 retrieved from him, which was thought to be part of their plunder.

Other goods found from the suspects include the CCTV setup's DVR components, two pinch bars, and a Ghana Card belonging to one of the victims.

"All four suspects are currently in Police custody and will be put before the court to face justice," the police said in a statement on Saturday.

They promised the people that they would keep working relentlessly to keep Ghana's communities secure.
