Gory Accident On Ekumfi Ekotse/Bodjano Highway Kills 4

Four people have been reported dead in a gory motor accident on the Ekotse/Bodjano in the Ekumfi District.

The accident which took the life of four people also rendered thirteen others injured.

A narration from ASP Mrs Beatrice Sintim-Koree of Mankessim MTTD of the Ghana Police Service revealed that the Sprinter bus with a registration number GR-6201-21 which was involved in the accident was carrying 16 passengers on board and was moving toward Accra from Mankessim.

Upon reaching a section of the road between Ekotse and Bodjano, the vehicle burst its right tyre causing the driver to lose control.

The bus veered off the road into the pavement killing a 14-year-old boy selling coconut on the pavement.

Three more people were killed after the bus hit two trees injuring others.

These three includes the driver who goes by the name Amede Sheriff.

The injured persons have been admitted at the Saltpond Government Hospital responding to treatment while bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the mortuary of the same hospital.
