Ebenezer Kojo Kum, Minister Of Chieftaincy And Religious Affairs Resigns

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has accepted the resignation of another minister from his administration.

Ebenezer Kojo Kum, Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, is rumoured to have resigned on Friday, February 3.

President Akufo-Addo is believed to have praised him for his contributions to the government and the country, and to have wished him well in his future endeavours.

Mr Kojo Kum, who is also the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West Constituency, was ill for most of last year.

He recently organised a thanksgiving service in his area to express his gratitude for recovering his strength and health after being presumed dead at some time.

"The President has asked the Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Hon. Dan Botwe, MP, to act as caretaker Minister at the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs until a substantive replacement is made," a statement issued by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, said.
