A commercial truck collided with some vendors at Suame Roundabout in the Ashanti Region, killing one.
According to an eyewitness, two others were brought to the Tafo Government Hospital after suffering severe injuries.
On Thursday morning, a commercial Toyota Commota with the licence plate AS 3987-13 went off the road and ran over three traders who were working beside the road.
Mr Kofi Richard, one of the passengers in the car at the time of the accident, narrated the story.
"The van was packed with passengers travelling from Pankrono to Kejetia "He stated.
"When the car got to the Suame Roundabout, it swerved off and crushed three traders.
"One of the ladies, a woman in her mid-40s, was buried under the car for over 20 minutes before being rescued and sent to Tafo Government Hospital.
"However, she was confirmed dead by health officials just minutes after arriving at the hospital.
Two more people who were hit by the car are being treated.
Meanwhile, the Suame Divisional Police Command has detained the driver to aid with the investigation.
