Ghana Receives Delivery Of New Navy Fighter Vessels

Ghana's New Navy fighter vessels have finally arrived at Takoradi Port.

The four new Naval fighter vessels received by the Navy has the purpose of helping the Navy protect our maritime domain.

These vessels will also be used by the Navy to protect the country's offshore oil and gas installations.

The four new vessels which arrived on Saturday are the Ghana Navy Ships (GNS) Volta, Densu, Pra and Ankobra.

These ships arrived on board a merchant vessel called MV BBC Nile and are currently at the quayside of the Port of Takoradi.

The acquisition of these vessels form part of the Governments drive to assist and equip the Ghana Navy with the needed tools and equipment to help make their work more effective at the coastal lines.

Before the arrival of these ships the oil companies are being compelled to hire private boats to provided security for their offshore oil and gas installations.
